How did you start this business? Take us through the process.

Prior to venturing into the realm of entrepreneurship, I held a solid position in the government sector, leveraging my skills in a professional capacity.

Simultaneously, I devoted my spare time to spearheading marketing efforts for my husband's flooring company.

Through strategic lead generation and adept marketing strategies, we experienced remarkable success, culminating in the profitable sale of his business.

Following this triumph, I expanded my marketing prowess, extending services to friends and local businesses.

As word of my achievements spread, my client base gradually transcended geographical boundaries, attracting worldwide companies seeking my expertise.

This journey has been one of continuous growth and evolution, driven by a steadfast commitment to delivering outstanding results for my valued clientele.

How did you get your first initial customers?

My initial journey into building a clientele stemmed from cultivating relationships with friends who owned businesses, affording me valuable opportunities to showcase my expertise.

We started by selling overall marketing packages, from logo design to social media and PPC campaigns. As we grew, we decided to stay laser-focused on content writing and SEO. It was the most rewarding service for our clients and the most profitable.

Subsequently, I embarked on expanding my reach by engaging with freelancing networks, offering competitively priced services to garner a broader customer base.

We knew we needed to make our services affordable. We came from a shoestring budget as well, so we decided to come up with monthly plans and services at different price points. Our plans work for a start-up as well as an established global B2B company.

I would make sure that clients were 100% satisfied with our work. Retention and referrals are key to growing.

The pivotal point in my journey arrived with the influx of referrals, triggering a sustained period of business growth that continues unabated to this day. I ended up adding new services our offerings and add-ons to complement client campaigns.

We continue to seek partnerships to help expand and promote our businesses and services locally and online.

Since launch, what are your marketing strategies or channels to get new customers?

Since our inception, we have devised a multifaceted marketing approach aimed at reaching out to potential customers far and wide.

Our strategy entails leveraging a blend of impactful channels and innovative techniques to maximize our reach and impact in the market.

We pride ourselves on embracing creative guerrilla marketing strategies.

By thinking outside the box, we create memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression on our target market. Our guerrilla tactics have proven to be effective in generating buzz, fostering brand awareness, and driving interest in our offerings.

We have found that our time is best used on client campaigns vs. doing monthly SEO/marketing ourselves. We have a very qualified North American remote team that helps us with our day-to-day content writing, link building, and overall analysis of each of our client's campaigns.

We’ve used our knowledge of SEO to help gain new clients for our business for over a decade. Being on freelancer sites like UpWork has also helped us grow our client list.

Furthermore, networking plays a pivotal role in our customer acquisition efforts.

We actively engage in various networking events, industry gatherings, and business meet-ups, where we have the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with potential clients and industry peers.

Building and nurturing these relationships has been instrumental in expanding our customer base.
